I think this advice is rather strange, since many of the recipes in the
manual for this machine contain 4 cups of whole wheat flour.
For example:
2 recipes from the manual;
100% Whole Wheat Bread
1-1/2 cups Water
4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1-1/2 Tbsp. Dry Milk
1 tsp. Salt
1-1/2 Tbsp. Butter
3 Tbsp. Vital Wheat Gluten
-----------------------------------------------------
100% Whole Wheat Bread
1-7/8 cups Water
5 cups Whole Wheat Flour
3 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Tbsp. Dry Milk
2 tsp. Salt
4 Tbsp. Vital Wheat Gluten
2 Tbsp. Butter
2 tsp. Active Dry Yeast
